Mother Of My Son
Mother of My Son
Happy Mother's Day, Sharon, mother of my son.
Just look at what the Lord has done.
He kept us together and gave us a good looking son.
I've caused you some heart-aches along the way.
But you still love me, anyway.
I haven't told you enough what you mean to me.
Now the Lord's opening my eyes that I can see.
He gave us the gift of love to pass on to Jerry.
Thank God I chose you to marry.
Satan's not deceiving me anymore.
He's out the door.
I'm holding on tight to what the good Lord gave me.
I'm thankful Jesus came to save me.
You'll look and see someday that it's important to put God first.
When you drink from the well of living water you'll never again thirst.
God loves us the same, Believe me, it's no game.
He˘s ready to bring you complete happiness,Just call upon His name.
I appreciate you teaching Jerry respect for the feelings of another.
He's fortunate to have you for a mother.
My mother taught me respect, now I want to pass it to Jerry,
So he'll know how to treat the one he chooses to marry.
Our children are a blessing from the good Lord above.
We have so much to be thankful for, not just for love.
Thanks for taking care of us throughout the years.
When I sit back and think about it, my eyes fill with tears.
I cherish your friendship and your love, too.
You brought me much happiness when I was feeling blue.
The Lord sent you my way when I was deep in sorrow.
Your love lifted me up and helped me face tomorrow.
You're my best friend,You stuck by me through thick and thin.
I know that you'll be there till the end.
Wait and see, someday we'll see our Savior's face.
When we're in heaven singing ˇ Amazing Grace.
