Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Capture the Sunset

If I could but once capture the sunset
the sky would be filled with soft light
the sun would be burning a warming farewell
as we slipped from the day into night.
The night would be full of all nightly things
for all man to rest and be well
and their fair maidens hand with wedding band
so cheerful at mornings bell.
The new day would bring the morning bird to sing
and the sun would rise in the sky
mankind would be a different thing to see
children never having reason to cry.
Afternoon sun would always end in fun
as we wait for the days sun to set
the sky would be filled with warming soft light
and mankind would have no regrets!
