Poetic Verses

Absolved

And spring came to warm the sod
amid new bloom there I trod
Footfall heavy in sun lit glory
worry burden this life story

Upon the eve of Mother's Day
Where is my child meant to stay
Eight and twenty years passed by
Still to worry, still to cry

Enough the teaching, enough the giving,
enough the sermons of righteous living
Severed, hence, the apron strings
to take on all that life brings

Protected from all of harms way
thought was that you would stay
My attempts have not your problems solved
Live well, my dear, while I'm absolved
