That Glorious Journey
These stairs on which you walk
are no stranger to you
for you have always walked them
with all that you would say and do
I knew this day of see you later
would come with out a doubt
because we all understand
that is what life's about
But my friend this comes so hard
to know the physical you is no more
but what you have left behind
is a treasure my heart will store
I celebrate your life
I celebrate you going home
I celebrate the oh so many
seeds you have sown
You are my friend
You are my hero
You will forever be
my heart's echo
So tonight my dear sweet friend
upon the wind your name has blown
and I know you sit at the foot
of our Precious Father's thrown.
