The Ultimate Betrayal
The words spoken
you say came from the heart
Yet now they are so different
than what was vowed at the start
In the beginning you would sooth
my heart with words from yours
Yet now you just stand there
with each one being a chore
Please tell me that the
end for us is not at hand
and that the time has not come
to remove this golden band.
Why can't you say what
I want to hear
Why must you make reality
of my greatest fear.
Why did you wander
from our bed
It is this knife in my heart
that leaves it dead.
Be off with you
and never to return
for the vow you just broke
in hell you will burn.
