I was asked to write this poem for two lovely friends of mine Joan and Jimmy; this is for their granddaughter whom they love and cherish very much and when she has her Son he will be their first Great Grandchild.
Hi little baby we`re watching you grow
And you`re loved more than you could ever know,
We know you are getting bigger day by day
Your parents can`t wait `til in their arms you lay.
You`re loved and cherished by everyone here
So when you`re born you`ll have nothing to fear,
You`ll be showered with hugs and kisses galore
Then when you think they`re finished you`ll get more.
You`re more than a baby you`re a little boy
Who will bring love and happiness and much joy,
Mummy and Daddy have got a name for you
They will call you Sonny and be so proud of you.
So rest now little baby and grow strong
You`ll be with Mummy and Daddy before too long,
A place in their heart is waiting for you
They`ll show you a love that is forever true.
