Moment ago I read a sad story
A tear ran slowly from my eye and cheek
I wiped it away so no one would see
A man who sheds tears you wouldn't think me
But I can share smiles with the smallest baby
Cried the day I lost my dog Sadie
The story was of a man who lost his only son
Praise all you brave parents for what your children have done
I honor all he parents of children fighting this war
For I have done it myself on another distant shore
God praise those fighting for me in Iraq
The sanity of having a heart the terrorists of the world lack
I hear from friends who stay at home we shouldn't be in that war
But peace is fragile as you stay and mind the store
This is not about me or the fact I might cry
Some of those calling me a wimp wouldn't do it looking in the eye
