RAINBOWS AND ROBOTS

RAINBOWS AND ROBOTS

The master craftsman looked at the sheet of shiny tin
On his face he wore a wide happy grin

A box of screws and a bowl of nuts
From this piece he could make some fun stuff

With a marker in his hand he did draw
images for him to fashion with his saw

Thinking to himself  - I will make this one indigo blue
Finishing there were more screws and bolts than a few

Forms of circles - stars - squares
Enough strips of tin - he could make a pair

Pink of color he made a female - adorned her with a lovely rosette
to complete the set

Pleased with his perfection
He wondered if they would for each other feel affection

He placed them on the floor
facing the outdoors

He wound the keys on their backs
He was amazed - they were making tracks

Across the lawn they did stroll
Holding hands racing to the rainbow was their goal

Together and happy they would survive
In a few years maybe there would be five
