Roadkill

I try to help
You roll me over
Don't care what's in your path
I want the best for you
You just don't see
That of all the things I've wanted, this was the last

I do things because I care
Not with any maclicious conspiracies
Or rage
I only wish that you'd appreciate my intentions
If anything bad were to happen,
I don't know what I'd do; I couldn't live to see you in pain

You don't realize what you mean to me
Every cut inflicted on you,
I feel
But it doesn't help, that on top of recieving your pain,
You expect me to let you get caught in this reel

I don't know why I try anymore
Obviously my own insight is worthless to you
I hope that, sooner or later,
You'll see that my vision was true
