Life!
When we start our journey in life,
Deep inside the womb,
We don't know our fate, or of love or hate,
We're just happy within our cocoon.
As time slowly passes us by,
We are nurtured and we grow,
Into a bonny boy or girl,
It's too soon for us to know?
Then finally the birth,
We breathe fresh air at last,
Into the arms of our parents,
For the cocooning stage has past.
As we grow and learn,
We bring joy to our mother,
For the bonding of the womb,
Is unlike no other!
A promise silently made,
A promise between babe and mother,
A bond no one can break,
A bond bound and sealed like no other.
Swiftly time passes by,
The babe grows into youth,
And with this loss of childishness,
Dawns the age of truth!
School, from primary to senior,
The mind absorbs it all,
And the knowledge that this brings,
Helps us to choose our call!
From foetus to babe to adult,
The cycle now completed,
A lifetime of learning, of loving and yearning,
But the bond of a mother, undefeated!
