Conversations with Shehe

Dreamscape Survival

Peach light bathes me
And the thunder
Racks my body
And their unguarded thoughts
Pummel against my soul
When I am weakened,
Knees buckle
Hits concrete
Crunching bones
And I as a weary form
Lays upon
The academic floor
My soul escapes
Into the ether
Screaming unbidden
In the dreams
Of friends,
Unbidden.
Fighting off zombies
With necklaces
Of hematite,
Then intensely scary
Shell shocked
And the wonder
Of my sanity
They are mesmerized
And reach out to comfort
And remind me
I am loved…
Red smoky liquid
Pours down my throat
After the release
Taking shoulders that
Have been held
As if a parent were
Holding up a wet
Rag doll from a putrid distance,
Wrinkled nose
Who wants to touch such a thing…
Let go as I flop
Like a fish on the floor
And crawl to the sanctum
Pulling over soft covers
Like crawling back into
My mothers womb
Exhausted as if I had been born
In reverse.
No time to cry
No time to get reset
Go on
March forward
Go to work
Go to school…
There is no rest
The world seems wicked.
Wicked cool
And I am amazed
I survived.
