Today, the last day of 2006
I sit here enjoying my Christmas Tree
For tomorrow
I pack it away for another year
When memories begin to pass before me.
This past year has been a bit
of a roller coaster ride
With my house being broken into
with me in bed asleep and then
I lost my precious little buddy Rusty
but on my birthday this year I was given
a most precious gift of Garp
I lost two men I so respected and Loved
Dale and Frank
but they live on thru all they left behind
and the footprints they left upon so many hearts
I had a horrid scare of possibly losing
my youngest daughter
but thru the power of prayer from
my awesome friends
God laid his healing hands upon
her and I spent another wonderful
Christmas with her and her family
My heart has taken a battering this year
but it saved me from a couple of huge mistakes
and now 2007 offers a promise of new beginnings
I finally got out of Melbourne which took its
toll on me with the horrid stress and then
what seemed a never ending
four and a half hours of
driving to work each day
until I could get relocated here to my
little piece of heaven on earth...
I have learned that we are not given
a task in life that God does not carry us thru
I had a wake up call with my own health
but thru prayers and the love of family and
friends Im come'n back to the old me...
Not sure if that is a good thingy or not
One of the two total high points of my year
of wich the frist came in November
when I finally got to meet the dearest friend
any woman could ever have
I saved my pennies and got a plane ticket to
Nevada. We laughed... we cried and I found
such a precious second family in Sparks...
Lesa, Hersh, Kim and
my precious Little Buddy, Joseph
And much to my amazement Hersh did not
ask me to leave, but then I did try to behave
LOL
Oh the see ya later was so hard
but then they always are
when you leave a piece of your
heart behind...
The second came in December of which
I pray will yield a masterpiece
of my heart on paper in 2007 that I will as
always be able to share with you
my precious friends
I carried many old friends with me
into this past year and met so many
new ones that are all so preciously
held close with in my heart
and with God's will
I pray we will journey 2007 together...
I have many dreams and prayers for 2007
Funny how when it comes to the end of yet
another year when as we walked thru 2006
we wondered how we would ever survive
and yet here we are and in looking back
we all must realize
that a positive always follows a negative
I pray for our Troops to return home
with mission accomplished in 2007
I pray for the all the families that have lost
a member of their family that so proudly
served this awesome country we live in...
I pray for all the families
that lost a loved one in the Twin Towers
on September 11th and that thru our
Precious Savior healing will continue
I pray for this Country to please
become United again...
For Americans to stand together
instead of divided. And for us all
to realize that Church and State
can not be divided
They are one....
We are One Nation Under God...
May each of you allow God's blessings
into your life and ask yourself with out them
what have you really got.
I wish you a Happy New Year
I wish you health and love
I wish you in return the same magnitude
of awesome memories that you give
to me each and every day
Please don't drink and drive
My children and grandchildren
travel the same roads as you
