My 2006 Grown Up Christmas Wish
Twas just before Christmas
and what was I to do
There are so many people
I wish to send blessings to
So a last minute letter to Santa
I sent off with a kiss
asking him to grant
My Grown up Christmas Wish
Each and everyone
has touched me deeply
what could I give in return
to say I love you sweetly
Oh the decision was clear
I knew what it must be
Something I received
by each he and she
The joy that has been given
to me all year thru
must now be sent back
to each one of you
A package I wrapped
with my best paper and bows
the excitement I felt
way down to my toes
I pray each one feels
the same joy you have given
You my dear friends
are a God send from Heaven
So on the Eve
of our precious Savior's Birth
I give back to you
our only real worth
The contents of our hearts
that we give to one another
The loving hugs that we send
to each and every brother
So as you unwrap the
paper and bows
my love you will carry
each day that you go
My wish for each of you
for this coming New Year
is for you to receive what you give,
all the heart- smiles, love and cheer.
