 THE TRAVELING LIFELONG BUSH POET

Never Thought My Heart Could Lie

I sit and watch the waves die
Di solving upon the sand~
As I look back on my life
And of a love I knew so grand~
A time when I too knew flight
As so many feel they do~
Back when you were mine my love
And back when you loved me too~
Silence sings songs to my soul
Deep here within the night~
And as I watch the waves die
So much does not seem to be right~
Such a beautiful , such a wonderful love
How could it live so and yet die~
I tell myself I can live without you
Never thought my heart could lie~
