You're Eighty Years Young Today
This year for your birthday we fondly celebrate
For you are turning eighty in this year 2008
It's hard to believe the years fly by so fast
We come to celebrate your life for the years past
You've been a husband and a father
A grandpa turned great and a brother
You've been an uncle and cousin,and a friend to many
Among all these titles you are a son in God's family
With all these titles you should feel the love
Blessings of a family sent from God above
There's many loved ones that can't be here today
Just know they are surely sending blessings your way
There's not many men that still work at this stage
That in itself is such a blessing at your age
So on this day we come to celebrate you
As well as thank God for your life too
You deserve this honor and a whole lot more
For in your life the sacrifices you have made galore
Words could not express the many different times
You have blessed a life_ also including mine
