Our Heroes _Like Knights In Shining Armour
Like knights in shining armour _men and women alike
Go to fight on foreign soil for our freedom and rights
So many unseen heroes have gave their life in time
This day we honour heroes of both yours and mine
Many were so young _their life was never lived
They gave the greatest gift to all they could give
They gave their very life _the ultimate sacrifice
Leaving behind their family ,and friends to survive
The honor bestowed upon them _truly falls short
For brave young men and women's unselfish support
So many come home injured and their life's never the same
There ought to be a law for the lack of appreciation
The saddest reality is they go to war for us
While our very streets have become murderess
Where is the sanctity for life anymore
Many times there is no safety behind locked doors
It surely grieves the heroes that try to keep us safe
When they hear of a loved one at home's _life's at stake
We need to pray and thank God above for all these
That endanger their life in hopes to bring us peace
We need to pray for those lives turned upside down
Due to the bloodshed and turmoil all around
Sleep is just a memory for they remain on guard
With all the nightmares_sleep becomes so hard
Today I pray for all_ both now and way back then
Heroes of a lifetime you're the best that's ever been
May God bless you for a lifelong sacrifice
You are so appreciated and we'll honor you for life
