Matty Elliot The worlds best dancer

~~A poem about what could have been if booze and girls didn't get there first~~

Photobucket

Billy Elliot is dead
But we have Matty Elliot instead
The world of dance is alive
You should see me jive

Now let's get one thing clear
I aint no batty boy bandit queer
But I have decided to disown beer
I'm being serious and sincere

I have given up chasing girls
Telling lies and little tales
I'm not going to rant anymore
About subjects that are sore

I'm giving up flirting on the internet
And no gambling, never again will I bet
I'm go to Church now on Sunday
And let me say again ‘I'm Not Gay!'

DJ Punkybones no longer plays Trance
Because all I really want to do is dance
I'm giving up being a social worker
My dancing will be a will tear jerker

I'm giving up work to dance
God has given me a 2nd chance
I'm going to dance in the street
To every single disco beat

I'm going to dance at the Ballet
I don't care what you say
I'm going to dance everywhere
I'm going to dance without a care

I'm going to be Britains best dancer
I'm no longer a cockney chancer
I'm going to dance in a tutu
I'm going to dance for you

I'm Matty Elliot, the dancing champ
But wait a minute, ouch! I've got cramp
I think it's a bad injury
My dancing career is now history!

God has deserted me
I no longer go to church on Sunday
Now I don't dance, I am in debt
To get it back, i'll have to bet!

“No Matty Elliot!” My fans cried
Sorry fans I really tried
I'll have to go back to being me
Being a London lad is my destiny.
