They say that I'm so young
That's it's only puppy love
But they don't live inside
Of me, the night is far to
Long, tomorrow's to many tears
Away, from all this pain
I need a hiding place

How can you tell me, that I will
Love again, If I will only give
My heart, the time it needs to mend
Sixteen years, my lover and best friend,
The nights so long and tomorrow's, to
Many tears away.

How can you say, I'm to old to
Act in such a foolish way,
That love is for the young
I should act my age, who tells
The heart when it's time, to
Take a final bow, walk off the
Stage, the night's to long, and
Tomorrow's, to many tears away

Love follows no rules, but rather,
Is ruler of our hearts, and if it's
Not, how very sad for the one it
Beats within, I will let this heart
Cry when it must, broken hearts are
The price, that we must pay, love
Sick nights are long, but
Tomorrow, love will find a way.
