From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph
The Last Letter From The Heart

Stomped a mudhole in my heart
And walked it dry
With the little energy I had left
In between short breaths
I said I love you
But you couldn't look me in the eye

This just may be
The last Letter From The Heart
And I dread the start
Cause I don't want the end
Yet the chapter's closed
And we can't even be friends

You'll truly never know
The amount of love
I have stored for only you
The pain I feel in my soul
As I'm slowly letting go
This I don't want any part of

Sadly though, this is to be
Trying to convince myself I've mistaken
But to me, this point you've proven
You don't know
All I was willing to do
Like cross the seas to get to you

I've gotta get out of this darkness
Though I'll stay in love with you
To rest is where we'll lay
I'll remember you when I pray
And with Its Final Sigh
My heart, to you, says goodbye
