"Cross" Road Leads To Calvary
The "cross" road of Calvary guided me
Straight into the arms of victory
Over the years I made different turns
Through your love and grace I learned
You had a divine plan for my life
Only the straight way would suffice
For you had paved the way for me
When upon Calvary you set me free
So forgive me Lord for all the wrong choices
Thank-you for helping me quiet the voices
For the devil tried his best to deceive
Until I grasped your truth to only believe
Now I'm a child of God only by grace
Your love daily continues to amaze
For it wasn't by my will that gave me peace
It was by taking the "cross" road to Calvary
I don't claim to be perfect_but now I try
To obey your will and not ask why
No I've not reached perfection yet
Although I'm getting better to not forget
The times I felt so alone in despair
Before I grasped all along you were there
This quieted the hurt and restored my soul
For it is only your will that can make us whole
