darkness of the night

the darkness of the night,
gives most a real fright.
some might feel alone,
some feel right at home.

some use the darkness to hide,
some don't won't to look inside.
of the light,
that shines so bright.

to some the darkness is their friend,
a place they feel safe within.
a place where if someone looks,
it is like finding unreadable books.

blank pages is all you see,
not knowing what might be.
like when in the darkness you look for someone,
it is something that most of the time can't be done.

yes, the darkness of the night,
is where with most it feels right.
you know they are afraid of the light,
for it puts them in plain sight.
