Destiny's Progeny

On this doorstep
We stand day after day
As months unfold into years

And as excited years melt into you
And watch your steps; leaving and coming
And hoping that, you may not skin your knees

May you not catch your fingers in closing doors
May your heart not break as you try to think
May time and tide wait until you return home
May the sun walk slowly before and after you

May ill intentions reverse in your presence
May you be as a favored pet in the Kings Palace
May you grow strong to break all odds, mayhem
Puzzles with webs of our intricate weavings

As pieces of good fortune
Crave to be one of your apt companions
And may God himself show up to protect you
As the apple of his own eye

...And that; May you find it all after us...
