Heart Of The Matter

Pre-empts My Thoughts

Photobucket

My friend, she laughs,
I sip the wine,
Pre-empts my thoughts,
The taste sublime,
‘The tides', I say,
She laughs once more,
She knows me well,
She knows the score,

I swirl the glass,
The wine goes round,
“I've had a thought,
Somewhat; profound!
Now if the tides,
That ebb and flow,
Leave our shores,
Where do they go? “

She laughs, I sip,
What can I say?
They flood the shores,
Of USA!

(Hey Mar, very clever of you to blame it on the moon, but I don't buy it! Lol)
