For Fr Dave Melly, Full Circle!
By thy hand you sent me,
A message of goodwill,
To help me in my hour of need,
To climb the steepest hill!
By thy hand you helped me,
To strive and start again,
To guide me and to lead me,
In my sorrow and my pain!
By thy hand you held me,
In the darkest hour of night,
When I was so burdened by hate,
And forgiveness was so out of sight!
By thy hand you stirred me,
Toward my faith again,
And softened the hate in my heart,
In lightening my pain!
By thy hand you brought me,
Full circle once again,
Back to where I came from,
And eased my conscience and my pain!
By thy hand you guided me,
In my darkest hour of need,
By your hand alone Lord,
You planted the awakening seed.
Not through fate at all,
But through your guiding power,
Once more I've come full circle,
As with love for me you did shower.
You never let me give up,
Just stayed lose by my side,
And with all my love and devotion Lord,
I thank you for being my guide.
Father Dave Melly was the messenger,
The answer to my prayer,
By your hand alone Lord,
I was shown…you care.
