If there was an almighty poetic library
Away somewhere up within the sky~
Where all excepted writings ended up
Somewhere away where they'd never die~
Ever so protected from all below
That was not considered real poetic verse~
Or that was not for the good of all
And anything that was worse~
The spirit guards within this library
Would protect it ever so~
And of the very presence of any at all
Who where not worthy they would know~
Imagine such a poetic place on high
For writers grand and small~
For all whom were caring, loving souls
And answered that one true poetic call~
No rubbish could enter at all within
No writers of harm and pain~
Only those that loved the art of poetry
Would be asked to ever return again~
Imagine such a place to be somewhere
For all that passed it's poetic test~
Well I can just imagine such a place
The poetic words and verses of all the best~
Shelves beyond comprehension
Oceans of books ever wide and deep~
That went on forever in endless rows
Perfectly stacked and ever so steep~
But to dream of ever being in such a place
One would have to be within as times of old~
A caring loving compassionate poetic entity
With the heart of a real true poetic soul~
They say nothing we do here upon earth
Escapes the very ones that watch and see~
Well I feel it would be no different at all
For all beautiful verse written in poetry~
Imagine ...
