"THE END OF BABYLON" ( my favorite poem)
As you know "Babylon was a sinful city... This poem is based on a true crime)

At midnight the masses gathered
In this mixed-raced Manhattan club
The Rolling Stones played loudly
Into the rusty metal microphones

A silver dollar was thrown on stage
She danced and chose to ignore the coin
Her distinct hips held the desires
Of these sinful vulgar drunks

The bar was moistened with rum and vodka
It Became the stage of Babylon
Voluptuous and dangerous curves
Embraced daily the stripper's pole

Their heart fainted at her beauty
She'd been rebellious with the Lord
Don't delay! A crime will happen
Death awaits early at dawn

A crippled man laid in the street corner
Outside this old corrupted joint
Roxie helped him, as he stabbed her
This was the end of Babylon
