Worth Of A Tear
I find myself in introspection
Searching depths of all recollection
In hopes to find the answer near
I query, what is the worth of a tear?
How much pain can it truly erase?
As it slides in silence down the face
Is it made of fear or birthed from doubt?
What is the reason we cast them out?
Could it be that anger rears its head?
Painted blue instead of crimson red?
What is the cause, who holds the key?
Why have these tears befallen me?
Does it ease the memories within the mind?
Does it wash away times love led us blind?
The worth of a tear, a shimmering drop....
I'm sure is valued more, when they stop....
