It Only Hurts For A Minute

It only hurts for a minute
You don't feel it apart from the sting
Numbness comes in like a saviour
Who said there was something wrong with..
Nothing

You may ask me how I decided?
It sounds crazy but it's all for the best
It's just a wasteful thing these days
Simply rip it right out of my chest

To think that it was something cherished
Before it turned cold and black
Just toss it away and forget it
I really don't want to have it back

For with it, the pain comes in torrents
With that, I simply can't deal
So you see, it is better discarded
It must go, I dont want to feel

It only hurts for a minute
Then I will finally be free
Numbness comes in like a saviour
That will be all that's left of me
