"This Busy World"
Through clouds, the sun peeks
At the early break of dawn
Birds sing, and crickets creak
At the window, I spot a Fawn
Rays of light, through the trees
Send welcome, to another new day
I converse with God, on bended knees
Do this, do that. . . then, on my way
Another day, of hustle - bustle
Running here, chores to do there
With time passing so very quickly
Seems I never, have any to spare
Was life meant, to be in. . . A hurry
Causing pressure, from every end
With hearts racing, and eyes blurry
And just too many things, to tend ?
Was this God's plan. . . I would think not
Body's weren't made, for all this fuss
With all the tension and stress we've got
We all know, its not good for us . . .
In this world, with everything "Fast"
Somehow, the pleasure was removed
Things seemed to have backfired on us
What did we gain, what have we proved ?
It is to late, to turn back now
Technology advanced, more than ever
New today, tomorrow out of style
Nothing solid, or to last forever
But. . .We accept all of the change
Trying to adapt, keep up, and cope
Maybe one day we can re-arrange
Moving a little slower in life, I hope!
