Wishful Thinking

I wish I was a lightning bug
Floating through the night
Just a little firefly
Shining so bright

I wish I was a willow
Blowing in the breeze
A single weeping willow
One amongst the trees

I wish I was a river
My water running down stream
Just one flowing river
In the sunlight I would gleam

I wish I was a mantis
Stoical and so strong
Yes a praying mantis
In the bushes I belong
