Slaves Who Obey
When someone says that you are free,
What does it mean to you and me;
Does it mean that we are free to sin,
To have a new life to begin.
Is it for the kindness that rules,
For us to inherit all the jewels;
Instead of following the laws,
That God made because of the flaws.
We are still threatened by the grave,
Since each person is still a slave;
So through each and every day,
You are slaves who must still obey.
Any slave can still sin and die,
Forever when you say goodbye;
But obedient you can be,
And in the future you will see.
Follow as what you have been taught,
And the Lord will forsake you not;
Obey His Law with all your heart,
So that God will never depart.
