Aspiring and myself
Within what was our poetic home
Was known to come
To blank posting page
When our hearts could neither find
Rhyme nor Free Verse
... To simply write
What the need brought to us
With no restrictions
Of how our words were
To be placed
We find ourselves
Within a new home tonight
With the same need of expression
For a friendship
That has just begun
I shed my first tears
And yearn to be of comfort
Friendship's made on poets page
I truly believe
Are most times blessed
To continue in certainty
My best friend in the world
Was found on a poet's page
And no truer friendship
Could I have been given
Tonight I think of
And say a prayer for
Someone who has made me feel
Very welcome here
And I consider friend
She is trying to prepare
To say good-bye to her Father
Our God made our good-byes
So very hard
And even knowing that
Our loved one will be embraced
By heaven in complete peace
The heart finds it so hard
To not weep
For the touch that will
No longer be felt
Upon this earth
I say tonight a prayer
For strength and comfort
For a friend that has been
Brought to me
I close this no poem ... poem
With thoughts of her tears
And feeling her pain
Even though I am relatively
New here I am quite sure many
Join with me in my simple prayer
