Love

She is so pretty.
Does she want me?
If she does not,
then it's some courtly love situation.
I'm ugly, I'm fat, I'm poor.
But I can still love.
I love her, I've fallen in love with her.
"Tell me what's on your mind,"
the parental mind says.
I don't want to tell you what's on my mind.
I want her.  I love her.
She is pretty and lively.
She has a feeling of confidence
and competence that I need.
I fell in love.  I desire that young lady.
Unrequited love is not "love";
it's wishful thinking.
Popular wisdom: there's somebody for everybody.
No, but no!  The one I've fallen in love with!
Please, please Cupid, or you're no good!
Love is inevitably a two-way street
that becomes a one-way street.
Cupid is blind.  Cupid has trouble on any street.
