A Mind Of Wonders

Legend tells of a mythical place
on dragons backs you may race,
above to sky's of emerald green
floating high to dreams once seen.

Closing my eyes I hear them call
to my sleep I slowly fall,
awakening quickly within my dream
I find myself beside a stream.

Gradually things become so clear
a dragon to my side drew near,
upon his back he beckoned climb
come soon the hour, clocks will chime.

With mighty wings aloft he leapt
across the land below we swept,
gathering pace I held on tight
beneath the earth dropped out of sight.

Passing through clouds, climbing higher
this dragon knew my one desire,
flying beyond stars burning bright
each second was a pure delight.

Reaching sky's of emerald green
I realised here I once had been,
what I wished for in my sleep
was mine to have to always keep.

A place where wishes can come true
to dance upon my rainbows hue,
It's not just mine, it's yours as well
within our minds wonders dwell.
