Poetry For Everyday People
Humanity Not Politics
The definitive answer
lies beneath
the sky, silently
floating on mirrored waters,
reflecting,
the land of the free
beautifully dancing along,
and it's up to us
to take care of it, as it is:
to take care of each other
and ourselves,
America's the candle
flickering for those
in hell's darkness,
the paradise in which
we are all entitled,
let us never blame nor
put down nor disrespect
a law abiding desperate
human being for trying
to make a better life
for them selves and
their families,
isn't that America?
dying for your beliefs,
your dreams, your family,
your honor, your freedom,
"this land is your land
this land is my land"
"I'm a cool rocking Daddy in the U.S.A."
let us not blame
good people,
for loving America or
wanting to be Americans.
I find that:
admirable.
lies beneath
the sky, silently
floating on mirrored waters,
reflecting,
the land of the free
beautifully dancing along,
and it's up to us
to take care of it, as it is:
to take care of each other
and ourselves,
America's the candle
flickering for those
in hell's darkness,
the paradise in which
we are all entitled,
let us never blame nor
put down nor disrespect
a law abiding desperate
human being for trying
to make a better life
for them selves and

this land is my land"
"I'm a cool rocking Daddy in the U.S.A."
