I was working on a NSW Australian sheep station
When the floods they come rolling in~
Leaving stud sheep then all on islands
And the bosses face was looking grim~
No worries I told station hands
No worries .. I'm not daft~
We all grabbed the largest empty drums
Plank and rope and built a small yard raft~
We placed a double gate on one end
With rails and then floated it across~
We put all the stud sheep there on board
And smiles.. You should have seen the boss~
We then did this in several places
And put the sheep into the shearing shed~
We all got home a little wet for wear
And after doing so we all got fed~
They'd never then seen this done before
Come to think of it neither then had I~
But presence of mind it works every time
Helps me no end I cannot deny~
