I am a hunter in my native home
I stalk big cats far into the night
My battle scars bear proof to my name
I am a Night Stalker courageous in fight
My movements are slow and cautiously made
Persperation blinds my burning eyes
On trembling legs I creep through the bush
Hours of stalking has cramped my thighs
My breathe flows short in rapid bursts
Nothing breaks my keen perception
Flexing my muscles to ease the pain
My shoulders burn from concentration
I hunt the ferocious king of the beasts
My heart pounds loudly like a drum
He moves swiftly through the forest green
Around my body I hear insects hum
Adrenaline runs like fire through my veins
There could not be a more exciting game
My skin stings from a million insect bites
At dawn's early light he pause in my aim
I work in the service of the Protection Team
Our duty is to preserve these brave cat's lives
These innocent jaguars so unique and wild
Have been unlawfully killed and will not survive
