Petals In The Grass
Sub-Human
Bashed badly
Alone I crawl
Maybe I am sub-human
After all
Being less than mortal
Is what I was taught
Mental confusion
Is what I was brought
Conditioned to feel pain
By the traitors of my youth
Listen to my confession
Hear my truth
Tormented by their violence
And the words they once spoke
Treated like an animal
By ones I called my folk
A disfigured self-esteem
That they did maul
Maybe I am sub-human
After all
Alone I crawl
Maybe I am sub-human
After all
Being less than mortal
Is what I was taught
Mental confusion
Is what I was brought
Conditioned to feel pain
By the traitors of my youth
Listen to my confession
Hear my truth
Tormented by their violence
And the words they once spoke
Treated like an animal
By ones I called my folk
A disfigured self-esteem
That they did maul
Maybe I am sub-human
After all
