"A BLESSING OR A CURSE" This is about a young boy who is lost in this world
This is an older poem I decided to publish again...
It was 6 p.m. when the door swung open
Her son cried in his bedroom floor
He grieved words he had heard
He lived his mother's evil curse
Torture fell from his young cheek bones
His mother's secrets were untold
What is it about me mommy?
Why does your family hate me so much?
In this winter night she unveiled
The truth to her nine year old son
Your father raped me as a young girl
He was a dangerous criminal on the run
Why did you have me mommy?
Why bring me to this wicked world?
Was he a black man mommy?
My skin is dark... yours is not!
My dear son... Let me say
These loving caring words
God works in Mysterious ways
You are my blessing not my curse!
