The Flutter
After the flutter
the girl in the gutter
picked herself up
best she could.
All of the dirt
covered her hurt
and really she looked
not too good.
Without too much care
the birds in the air
twitted and twilled
clear and loud.
She lifted her gaze
and shifted the haze
and glimpsed the sun
through the cloud.
Joy Weare.
