Harbour light _

A sea wall of sitters defines tonight
children twinkle, decked out in fairy lights.
Circus performers rezone through the crowd
the sand beach rests easy metres away.

Families on blankets, some oldies brought chairs
the less inhibited dance without care.
Simply explained this night strobes body lights
devil's horns the fashion for kids delight.

A show bled in colour was set to run
the plunger pushed by one seven year old son.
Fireworks explode, black water mirrors space
in showers of light those rainbow snakes make.

So impressive the fire lights front row seat
miracles would only surpass such feats.
Waterfalls of sparkles fill the night sky
the cracker box sea the perfect sound stage.
