Making an 'ass' of 'u' and 'me'
When you assume, you're being silly
Making an ‘ass' of ‘u' and ‘me'
With assumptions
Come expectations
With expectations come resentments
And with resentments come judgements
All adding to the bubbling surface
Assumptions make you lose face

Always do a reality check before
You go crashing through the door
You're taking someone for granted
Your personal beliefs are one sided
Making an ‘ass' of ‘u' and ‘me'
Enough to make anyone angry
A design fault with human kind
Is expecting others to read our mind

Assumptions are immature behaviour
Another human design fault failure
Because our mums knew our need
Doesn't mean others can mind read
It's important to know what we ask
Instead of acting like an ar$e
We can always blame insanity
Of making an ‘ass' of ‘u' and ‘me.

~~ ha ha i bet you're assuming this is about someone? actually no, it's from a discussion that took place in my anger management groups i run, regarding how many arguments are based on assumptions. The poem offers some sound advice, be sure of facts and evidence before starting arguments..  ~~
