Poetry For Everyday People
The Magic Of Us
I worry too much
about people I love,
animals I love, the
sight of people or
animals struggling,
it gets under my skin
man,
I can't watch
a one sided fight
without breaking it up,
I don't need to hear
the BS theories, once
a person's down, it's
over, ganging up on
somebody: is the sign
of true cowards,
people picking on each other,
even as adults, it's bad
enough what kids do to
each other, a grown up doing it
is a sad state of being,
I have to live above it,
change it as much as I can,
no one will ever struggle
in front of me, without me
trying to help, if you're
pushing your broke down car,
I won't make a face at you,
I'll help you push,
think of people struggling
as your mother, father, sister,
it would do the world good,
if we all helped each other,
or at least stopped
hurting one another,
there is a beauty
in unity, in trust, in kindness,
that defies hate with love
and waters the flowers
of our souls
with a simple wink.
about people I love,
animals I love, the
sight of people or
animals struggling,
it gets under my skin
man,
I can't watch
a one sided fight
without breaking it up,
I don't need to hear
