 A letter to God

God are you there
Have you been watching this from afar
Are you waiting in the shadows
Much closer than I think you are

Will I question your decision
Well you know me all to well
This you expect me to do
As I expect you not to tell

Maybe if I listen
As you told me in a dream
My child please listen closely
Things are not always what they seem

If you look deep inside of you
You will find the answer you seek to find
I know that what you have learned so far
Will bring you acceptance in your mind

I must tell you I can't imagine
How she gets through each day
I look into her eyes
And simply don't know what to say

So maybe you can tell her
The things I just cannot say
Maybe she will know from you
How I will miss her everyday

And maybe she will finally know
How she taught us all so much
And that we all truly now realize
How angels do live among us

Through her quiet nature
And all she came to do
I am sure she will glad to be home
Welcomed first in the arms of you

So you want another angel
I get that as I have so many times
I will also feel the emptiness
For those of us she will leave behind
