~*~I Cherish My Son~*~
Happy Birthday to my son Jerry Michael Dale on 7/9/08
Ever since you were born into my life,it's been great.
You are a blessing from “The Good Lord” above.
You have a heart like your dad's,full of love.
You're a special gift from God the Father.
I try to teach you right from wrong,Some dads don't bother.
Words can hardly describe what you mean to me.
I hope when I'm trying to teach the right way you'll see.
You don't need drugs or alcohol to be happy.
I'm glad you're showing me you can live by only love.
Not all parents can say this I thank “God” above.
I'm so proud of the man that you're turning into.
I hope you know with me and “God” no one can hurt you.
Always remember “Jesus” is the key to life.
Stay focused on Him,He will keep you out of strife.
The love between a father and son is something to treasure.
Please... Son realize,it's a “Blessing” beyond measure.
They always say, “Like father, like son.”
Know I'm not proud of some of the things I've done.
I'm glad now I've finally made the right choice.
It can be a wonderful life when we listen to the Holy Spirit's voice.
Respect is something you have to earn.
Don't disrespect others,This you've come to learn.
When we earn more money than it takes to live,
There's always someone in need so freely give.
The Bible teaches us what life's all about.
When it's applied to your life you'll never do without.
Growing up means taking on more responsibility.
It means working hard because only love is free.
I'll end this birthday poem and these words of knowledge.
Listen to God and me,It's more important than college.
It's most important where your soul will go.
I want you for eternity you know.
With All My Love...
Your Dad ;
Albert Dale Ping
