Run Not To the Phone But To The Throne
Do you run to the throne when something is wrong?
Or do you gossip about another to someone or on the phone?
Some may think their talebearing is a hidden secret
But there are little birdies out there to surely reveal it
Jesus commands us to love our neighbor as ourself
Yet there are people in the body of Christ backbiting themselves
It is written you'll know them by the fruit they bear
This is seen by the edifying and brotherly love they share
We are warned to take every thought into captivity
For our thoughts become words and are meant for uplifting
It is written the sower sows the word
Is your words of love or words of hurt?
The golden rule is do unto others as you'd have them do unto you
This also establishes the character good or bad of you too
When we stand before God and He judges our works
We'll all be held accountable for every word
Are we good examples for our children today?
Do we act one way at church and at home a different way
Do we reflect Jesus' love in all we do and say?
Not complaining or talebearing but only to God pray
Our children are the enviroment in which they live
We are to train them up that only love they give
And if they should stray along the way
Love never fails and they'll return to God someday
So be ye kind and tenderhearted one to another
Longbearing and longsuffering,forgiving your brother
Strife stirs up hate but love covereth all sins
Pray that always your words and works exalt your brethren
