Lord don't let me be a Christian
who fails
to live what I speak,
Keep me from living amongst the lost
as helpless defeated and weak.
Don't let me preach on what they should do
then live as though it's not meant for me,
Please let me be as a light to their soul
to love them so that they can see.
That salvation found in my Jesus
is only for sinners indeed,
And not for the self righteous
religious who truly have no need.
