A Heart's Dreamscape

How I long to linger in the forbidden realms,
The place of unwritten endings...
Where reality becomes tangled in
The vines of what may be

There I could sing clearly,
Those enchanted whispers...
Cherished promises of evermore
To lovers behind hidden tapestries
Of make believe

Oh how the beating heart would be worn as
A forever sought talisman
The body, in shimmering nude
Viewed as an oracle of divinity

Were it so empowered me,
I would emboss the very eyes
Of love that once was,
with sights of lavender
Instead of aqua oceans...
That loneliness leaves to cry

Know this as my dreamscape
Solely a painting on a canvas
Only known in a broken hearts lore
And in the eyes of the hopeful
