I Can't Say It

I can't bring myself to say it
that one little word,
it will never cross these lips
the saddest word, I've ever heard.

I know you're watching over me
I can feel your presence near,
your voice echoes in my head
with every falling tear.

I miss you with all of my heart
why did you have to leave so soon?
My soul aches for you, Mom
'neath the shining of the moon.
