Admonition
You seem to be wearing your smile a bit tight
And is it for someone you're missing tonight?
Did the love you once held in your arms slip away
If so, do you struggle to get through the day?
But with absence of words to admonish your heart
Let me say that with time you can make a new start.
If you never lose faith that a love can be real
Or begin to deny what your heart longs to feel.
For the one meant for you is still waiting out there
But you have to search to find something that rare.
So, lift up your head and then muster a smile
For the wait for the right one is surely worthwhile.
